Humboldt and Bonpland Trail

This magnificent and historic trail follows an expedition conducted by the notable Alexander von Humboldt and Aime Bonpland in this area of Ecuador in the early 1800s. During this expedition, Humboldt and Bonpland discovered several plant species that can still be found when traveling the path today.
